Description
Sodium Chlorite powder, 80% technical grade. Used for generating chlorine dioxide after activation with hydrochloric or citric acid. Used in water treatment, food cleaning and surface sanitation.
Note: If also purchasing citric acid powder, you will need about 2 lb citric acid powder for every lb sodium chlorite powder for making 1:1 ratio solutions for activation.
Notes: 80% is the highest concentration available due to the way this product is manufactured. The product starts off as flakes but is usually ground up to make dissolving into water easier. A 28% (w/w) solution will produce approx. 23% sodium chlorite concentration.
